WHAT'S ON THE IBEW APTITUDE TEST?

The IBEW/NECA aptitude test consists of two sections:

Algebra & Functions (33 questions, 46 minutes)

Reading Comprehension (33 questions, 51 minutes)

READING COMPREHENSION TOPICS COVERED

MATH TOPICS COVERED

Fractions/Decimals: Perform operations and convert between fractions and decimals

Graphs/Functions: Read, plot, and interpret both linear and quadratic graphs

Order of Operations: Apply PEMDAS to solve expressions accurately

Polynomial Ops & Factoring: Simplify, expand, and factor polynomial expressions

Quadratics: Solve quadratic equations using factoring or the quadratic formula
